Why Capita Symonds?

It was a great opportunity to join a large competitive company whilst still being a key part of a newly formed and ambitious practice.

What project(s) are you working on at the moment?

I am currently working as project architect for Uddingston Grammar School, part of the large South Lanarkshire Schools PPP, having previously gained experience on various stages of Hamilton Grammar and Carluke High Schools.

What opportunities have you had to train and develop your skills at Capita Symonds?

I have been given exposure to varying aspects of the projects I have worked on during my time at Capita Symonds, from assisting on larger projects to leading smaller jobs which gave me key experience, enabling me to complete my Part III and realise my ambition of becoming a qualified architect.

What are your aspirations for the future?

I want to retire by 30!

Any tips for future graduates?

As well as being given the opportunity to work to gain experience where I need it to progress my career and personal development, I also received strong moral support from those around me.
