Acting on behalf of parent company Capita Group plc, Capita
Symonds’ real estate division has completed the subletting of
150,000 sq ft at Unit 760, Thorp Arch, Wetherby.
The unit (part high bay and part conventional
warehouse/ offices) has been let to Lindam, the UK’s largest
nursery products provider, on two subleases at the passing rent of
£445,464 per annum until August 2017.
An industrial agency team completed the deal
which represents savings of over £4 million for Capita over the
residual term of the lease.
Andrew says: “This was a good team effort with
Andrew Warde in rating providing rating advice and mitigation as
well as James Rowcroft in building consultancy who carried out some
roofing works that were necessary as part of the deal. This is our
first major project for Capita and one which we have achieved a
great result for in a very short space of time. Lindam were
identified early as a prospect, and following a period of
negotiation and getting landlord’s consent, we closed the deal very
