The Wednesday Club - Seminar

2nd November 2016

Organised by the Capita and partners.

You are warmly invited to join Capita and partners as The Wednesday Club discusses how organisations can make substantial cost savings through retrofit, using data that may already sit within the landlord’s organisation.

Now in its third year, Capita’s “Wednesday Club” continues to bring to Affordable Housing a series of free seminars and debates on topics that  that will be of interest to stakeholders from right across our sector.

In our latest nationwide Retrofit Survey, 85% of respondents identified reducing fuel poverty as their main driver behind investment in energy efficiency. However, in recent years, a number of policy and funding changes have added to the pressure on social landlords’ budgets. This in turn has challenged retrofit investment as investment in retrofit is often perceived to secure only wider social and environmental outcomes whilst other investments are seen as proven to secure direct benefit or savings to the organisation.

However, whilst the business case for investing in retrofit is being questioned more than ever, it can be a compelling one and recent research supports this. Whether your role sits within asset, development or finance, at this seminar you will hear our expert speakers discuss how:

  • To quantify the wider benefits of retrofit
  • Energy performance and housing costs can interact
  • Deep analysis of one organisation’s data identified over £4m of savings from improved energy performance

Space is limited and attendance is by response to this invitation so to confirm your attendance please click to register asap. If there is a person in your organisation that might be better suited to attend this seminar, please pass this invitation to them.
