Organisations across both the public and private sector are facing significant challenges as they reassess risk, repurpose budgets or divert funding to manage new emerging risks.
Requirements range from needing additional competent resources to supplement in-house teams, to specific expertise to assess risks and liabilities in order to make informed and prioritised risk decisions on where and how to implement retrospective risk control measures.
The immediate priority is to understand risks to life and property, prioritise action and seek assurance.
A full assessment of potential liabilities and obligations around fire risk and building regulation compliance requires specific and wide-ranging expertise.
Our highly-qualified and competent Fire Risk Assessors, Fire Engineers, CDM Principal Designers, Project Managers, Clerks of Works and H&S and Building Surveying services support our clients in understanding the potential risks and how to manage them.
This expertise and our breadth of capability helps us protect assets and people across the UK. Working closely with our clients, we carry out fire risk assessments, audits of safety management and monitoring systems and inspections of premises– across the UK.
As an organisation we hold responsibility for fire safety in many areas:
We specialise in providing high-quality fire engineering services for public and private sectors.
We work with clients who:
Capita have been providing Southampton City Council with an outsourced health and safety service since 2007, during this time, they have been instrumental in helping us set up a fire safety management system. They developed fire risk profiling tools and help build our fire compliance module on our online health and safety management system. They forged a three-way partnership with the Council and 3SFire the trading arm of Hampshire Fire Authority. Capita then provided quality fire risk assessments in partnership with 3SFire in order to give the council the assurance on the compliance of its estate including Housing stock. The council is now in a position of having real-time compliance status of fire risk assessments and action status, monitored though monthly meeting and management reports. I have been extremely happy with the professionalism and services provided by Capita and their Health and Safety department.
