Environmental Assessment

Capita works with private and public clients from concept to commissioning providing environmental assessment input to minimise cost and maximise benefit.

We undertake robust scoping for Environmental Impact Assessments to focus the study on only the significant issues and reduce the cost and time delays in producing the Environmental Statement.

If left uncontrolled, the construction phase of a development can have significant impacts on the environment and the local community. Both the commissioning client organisation and the construction contractor have key responsibilities in ensuring that these environmental impacts are controlled adequately.

Working with such client organisations and contractors (as well as local authorities) we undertake environmental construction assessment and management and auditing on a company, strategy and project specific basis to ensure that these environmental issues, risks and liabilities are well managed and comprehensively addressed. Recognising that construction sites are constantly changing, and systems need to be in place to modify control measures to maintain their effectiveness we also provide environmental inspection, monitoring and auditing to check the effectiveness of measures.
