Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards explained

Government confirm phased introduction for Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)

The Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) has published its response to the consultation on the private rented sector Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards Regulations.

DECC has confirmed that from April 2018, it will be illegal to let commercial properties in England and Wales with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of F or G. Let commercial properties will need to have at least an E rating.
