Chris Founds has joined Capita’s infrastructure division as director of business development.
Chris joins the company from Mouchel where he was most recently business development director for its infrastructure services business working across the highways, water and intelligent transport sectors in the UK, the Middle East and Australia.
Prior to that he led the project management team in Mouchel’s 2020Liverpool joint venture delivering a range of projects including the city’s new cruise liner terminal, the city centre movement strategy, and the CIHT award winning £325m Edge Lane regeneration. He also managed Mouchel’s professional services partnership with Rochdale and Oldham Council’s as highways director, before subsequently leading Mouchel’s engineering design and management business with a team of over 400 staff across the UK, working on outsourced commissions and major projects such as the Highways Agency’s ‘Smart Motorways’ programme and Khalifa Port in Abu-Dhabi.
Chris also recently delivered a BESMA award winning sales and marketing transformation programme for Mouchel, introducing key account management, process and governance, and skills training.
Chris’ career has also included roles with Sefton Council delivering strategic transport planning, securing LTP funding and design delivery; Halton Borough Council where he secured the first preliminary DfT funding for what is now the £800m Mersey Gateway Bridge, and the former Cheshire County Council.
