Capita 'Backing Bris' ahead of Championship play-offs

8th May 2014

Capita extends its best wishes to the players and coaching staff of Bristol Rugby ahead of the first leg of their Greene King IPA Championship semi-final against Rotherham Titans this weekend.

Bristol start their play-off campaign to gain promotion to the Aviva Premiership on the back of an excellent season, finishing top of the Championship and narrowly losing out in its B&I Cup semi-final earlier this month. Leeds Carnegie and London Welsh contest the second semi-final.

Capita has been main sponsor of Bristol Rugby for the past five seasons, and a partner to the club for the past decade and we are delighted to support the team’s push for top-flight rugby, as well as its strong links with the local community and grass roots sport.

In its 125th anniversary season – and its last at the Memorial Ground – the club has launched its very own ‘Creating MEMories’ social media campaign to boost support for Andy Robinson and his team. Throughout the play-offs campaign, it will be using the familiar #imbackingbris hashtag to get supporters, celebrities, businesses and clubs from across the city of Bristol behind the Club during the 125th commemorative season. The club have been asking supporters to post their 'I'm Backing Bris' photos on Twitter and Facebook and have been distributing special edition ‘Creating MEMories’ scarves for the occasion.

As main sponsor we were of course keen to play our part and posted our own photo, taken at our London HQ this week.

On behalf of everyone at Capita I wish Andy Robinson and his team the very best of luck for the coming weeks. We’re proud of our support of the club over the past 10 years and look forward to some great rugby and a well-deserved return to the Aviva Premiership. C’mon Bris!
