Capita's London-based property and infrastructure teams have begun their relocation to a new London HQ building at 65 Gresham Street this week.
Earlier in the year Capita signed a ten year deal to sub-lease approximately 100,000 sq ft of office space from JP Morgan at Gresham Street, which is close to the Bank of England and the historic Guildhall in the City of London.
The business has now started moving more than 450 staff from its Procter Street and Shaftesbury Avenue offices over the next two weeks, with Procter Street staff installed in the new office from Monday 14 April.
The company's real estate team led the property search and negotiated the lease on the building, and has project managed the fit-out and move logistics. Working with staff, its strategic property and workplace team has developed and implemented an agile working strategy which has created a flexible and collaborative working environment for its multidisciplinary teams.
Overall, over 1,000 Capita plc employees will occupy 65 Gresham Street, with the property and infrastructure business on its 4th floor being joined by employees from Capita’s employee benefits, insurance services and workplace services businesses on its 5th and 6th floors.
This is a hugely exciting move for us as we look to significantly grow our presence and profile in London over the next few years. Relocating the majority of our London staff in one central location presents us with a fantastic opportunity to promote even greater collaboration between teams within a modern and agile working environment
