Capita has been shortlisted in the Construction/Project Management category at tonight’s 2014 Building Awards.
2013 was another big year for the company’s project management team. It followed up its project and cost management work on the London 2012 Olympics by delivering yet more complex and iconic schemes including the £188.8m Library of Birmingham and the £70m ‘Sixty’ scheme at Holborn Viaduct in central London.
In terms of ongoing projects Capita is project and cost managing a range of developments for the London School of Economics; groundbreaking hospital ‘Welcome Centres’ (an initiative driven by us); the new £28.5m Manchester Cancer Research Centre; Jodrell Bank Observatory; and the development and implementation of a comprehensive Estates Asset Management System (EAMS) to ensure that the NHS in Scotland’s 4.6m sq ft of physical assets are able to support the delivery of frontline healthcare services.
