New Appointments in Capita's Real Estate Division

Capita real estate division has made three new appointments.

Kevin Wideman joins as divisional director in Capita’s Manchester property management team.

Kevin joins the company from GVA where he oversaw the management of property portfolios including ISIS; Lugano Developments; Eric Wright Group; Oakbrook Properties; Prestbury Investment Holdings; CTP; and Augur Investments; and property consultancy for Telereal Trillium, DLA Piper, Network Rail and RBS.

Prior to that he worked for Storey Sons & Parker where he managed a range of sites on behalf of Land Securities including Shepley Industrial Estate, Manchester; and Squiresgate Industrial Estate, Blackpool.

He also spent nearly ten years with NatWest where he was responsible for the disposal of surplus property in the bank’s regional portfolio, and management of its North West region and East region estates.

Maarten Beunderman, meanwhile, has been appointed as director in Capita’s corporate real estate team.

Martin joins the company from Lambert Smith Hampton where he was director, corporate advisory services, overseeing the management of AXA UK’s corporate operational and surplus estate comprising 48 buildings.

Prior to that he worked for Spacia (Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd), leading a 21 strong estates team delivering optimum performance and rental growth from a portfolio of over 2100 commercial properties stretching from London to the Scottish border.

A chartered surveyor with over 20 years experience in commercial property, Maarten will now become Capita’s account director for National Grid.

Finally, Jonathan Jary joins as a workplace designer.

Jonathan, who has over 18 years of interiors and architecture experience, joins the company from MoreySmith where he worked on projects such as:

  • The interior and exterior refurbishment of 5 Brindley Place – a 130,000 sq ft site in central Birmingham;
  • The Cat ‘B’ fit out of a grade II listed Westminster headquarters for the luxury brand Moët Hennessey;
  • The restack of Cadbury’s 60,000 sq ft UK headquarters at its BCO award winning Bournville site;
  • The reinvigoration of the common parts areas of Aldermary House near Bank;
  • The Cat 'A' and common parts refurbishment of the 60,000 sq ft 100 New Oxford St in the West End.
