Capita/ESA has risen back up to 5th in the annual AJ120 rankings of the UK’s largest architectural practices (by qualified staff).
Since then the number of qualified architectural staff has increased significantly and architectural fee income was up more than £1 million from £14.5 million in 2013 to £15.8 million in 2014.
Last year the team delivered the Civic Trust Award winning Witton Park in Lancashire (above); Strata, a new 80,000sqft office in Staines; and the £60 million Brooks Building at Manchester Metropolitan University, part of the £139 million Birley Fields Masterplan.
Chris Boyce, Capita, said: “We are very proud of our busy, design-driven practice and the hard work, commitment and innovation of our staff. The last five years have been tough, but new growth in London and a vibrant outlook across the ‘Northern Powerhouse’ regions of Manchester and Liverpool will take us to new strengths, building on the achievements and design awards/accolades of the last three years in all sectors of our diverse practice.”
