MHA Selects Capita to Support Health and Safety Service

14th October 2015

National older person’s charity, MHA, has reselected Capita to support its in-house health and safety service for a further three years.

Since 2012, Capita has provided support to 173 sites for MHA. The scope of the new contract with Capita now covers all of MHA’s 214 sites which include residential care homes, retirement living complexes and community support centres for those people who live independently at home.

Capita is responsible for:

  • Delivering health and safety audits
  • Undertaking fire risk assessments
  • Reviewing and updating MHA’s health and safety policy, risk assessments, processes and systems
  • Providing bespoke training including corporate health and safety training for managers and maintenance workers
  • Annie Webber, director of Quality at MHA, said: “We recognise the importance of ensuring that all of our sites are fully compliant, not only for the safety of our residents, but also for our employees.
  • Capita’s expert support allows us to focus on our core competencies – delivering first class services to around 16,000 older people.”

The fact that MHA has decided to continue its relationship with Capita is testament to the quality work delivered by the team. We provide our clients with the assurance that they are fully compliant in their health and safety processes and procedures and we can also work with them to develop bespoke training to meet their individual needs.

Peter McGettrick, Director of Health and Safety.
