The building consultancy team in Capita’s real estate business has appointed Tim Redfern as divisional director of building surveying. Tim will be based in Birmingham and will launch and develop the building consultancy team’s presence in the Midlands as well as supporting its national work.
Tim has worked as a commercial building surveyor for 15 years, gaining experience across the full range of building consultancy services at surveyors including EC Harris, JLL, King Sturge and McBains Cooper.
On taking up his new role, Tim commented: “I’m very excited to be joining Capita’s building consultancy team at such an exciting time in its history. The business is going from strength to strength and I’m very much looking forward to supporting its expansion in the Midlands and across the UK.”
Building consultancy director Gareth Belsham said: “Tim brings 15 years of extensive experience in dilapidations and construction procurement, as well as excellent knowledge of local markets. His appointment marks the success of our recent growth and widening market opportunities. We welcome Tim to our team.”
Meanwhile, Monika Passey has recently joined the property and workplace consulting team as lead workplace designer – senior consultant.
Monika joins the company from Spacelab where she was a senior architectural designer for almost six years, winning a range of design awards including the Architects’ Journal’s ‘Interior Architect of the Year’ award, and nominations for the BCO’s 2015 Regional Office Design Awards.
Monika has a creative flair in design, particularly in the execution of new ways of working for organisations. Over the years, she has gained expertise in office space planning and office interior design for numerous corporate working environments. Monika’s previous clients include CapQuest, Vocalink, Glencore, EMAP, JWT, LEO Burnett, Ogilvy, MTV, JSP and The Guardian.
Apart from her professional skills and interests, Monika has a passion for running, cycling and cooking. She will soon be representing the property and workplace consulting team in the Capita ‘Palace to Palace’ cycling event for The Prince’s Trust Charity.
