Capita Real Estate & Infrastructure won the Association of Project Safety – Consultancy of the Year 2016, announced at the National Awards Ceremony at the Portman Hotel, London on 27th October.
The competition was open to any construction consultancy delivering Principal Designer and Designer as defined in the CDM 2015 regulations. The winning organisation had to show full integration of Design Risk Management within their processes, staff training and have at its core an active and integrated health and safety policy that promoted construction industry’s health objectives.
The award ceremony was compared by BBC Breakfast’s Louise Minchin, to a packed venue.
The award was accepted by Alan Herbert, Director – Safety Management Consultancy, accompanied by David Cornberg, Technical Director and John Ioannou, Associate Director.
The Capita case study featured Dover Western Docks Revivial, a five phased project to increase capacity, continuing until 2019, where Capita are Principal Designer. Mark Diviani and Kevin Williams of Dover Harbour Board joined members of the London CDM Team for the ceremony.
