GL Hearn – part of Capita Real Estate – has appointed Matt Kinghan as a planning director in the economics team to boost capability in assessing the economic and social impact of development projects.
Matt joins GL Hearn from Nexus Planning, where he led on economic impact and managed a range of multidisciplinary planning and master planning projects covering urban renewal, town centre redevelopment, neighbourhood and community planning.
His new role will focus on identifying economic benefits of development – such as job creation, gross value added and construction employment. A key aspect will involve identifying opportunities to promote this to clients.
Matt said: “I am excited to be working with GL Hearn as planning director. Capita Real Estate and GL Hearn have a well-earned reputation for delivering innovative planning and development consultancy. I look forward to joining the team and help them to continue and build on the great results achieved.”
Alastair Crowdy, managing director of Capita Real Estate Advisory and GL Hearn, said: “I would like to welcome Matt, who is highly regarded, to GL Hearn. His extensive experience will help us build on the excellent service we provide to our clients.
