GL Hearn have submitted a planning application on behalf of Danescroft Land (backed by Palmer Land Opportunity Trust) to the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) for a £210m residential-led scheme in Bromley-by-Bow, East London.
This major redevelopment comprises a 26-storey tower on the site on Imperial Street that will accommodate 500 new homes brought forward as a build to rent scheme. It will also include 38,427sq.ft of flexible community, commercial and retail space on the ground floor, parking and landscaped public open space.
Dominic Fryer, director at Danescroft Land said “the development of this gateway site will act as a catalyst for the further regeneration of Bromley-by-Bow South.”
Alex Christopher, Planning Director at GL Hearn said “these exciting proposals will deliver a range of retail, community and workspace accommodation at ground floor level to activate the new generous public realm with the exemplar design of the upper floor residential accommodation resulting in a variety of shared internal and external communal space to maximise user experience”.
The planning application was led by GL Hearn’s Residential Planning, Developer team with Strategic Communications and Viability & Affordable Housing services also included in support of the planning application. A decision on the application is expected by the end of the year. Construction is expected to start in Q4 2018.
