The final phase of building works for the North Somerset Community Hospital in Clevedon has been completed.
The Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure Health Partners team was appointed by NHS Property Services Ltd to provide Project Management, procurement, contract administration, fire advisory and construction design and management coordinator services for Phase 1 of the project of backlog maintenance and refurbishment works. The Capita Health Partners team was subsequently retained to deliver services in Phase 2 of the project including preparing a feasibility report for additional works requested by the hospital.
The project was a complex series of upgrades delivered across two phases and has enabled Capita Health Partners to deliver a number of high level finishes to numerous areas of the building to align with the operational requirements of the hospital and community needs.
Capita Health Partners Senior Consultant Engineer, David Summers, lead Project Manager for the scheme commented “These latest refurbishment works will provide a new lease of life for the building, works that not only complement the original building’s structure but that will enable the facility to continually act as a vital community facility for Clevedon and the wider North Somerset area. We have been delighted to have been involved within this multifaceted scheme, and we are now thrilled to hand the facility back to the community for use for many years to come”.
