The RE:NEW Programme, London’s programme to help make the capital’s homes more energy efficient has been shortlisted for the Association for Decentralised Energy Awards in the "Cities & Communities” category. The Mayor of London’s RE:NEW Support Team is delivered in collaboration with the GLA by our Zero Carbon Team. The team works to maximise energy savings and carbon reduction in London’s housing by providing support to organisations to increase the value for money, scale and delivery speed of retrofit projects.
Tom Vosper, Senior Energy Consultant in the Zero Carbon team, has also been shortlisted as “Champion of the year” at the Association for Decentralised Energy Awards 2018. He leads the Zero Carbon team’s communal heating service and has spent 14 years working with communal heating systems. In the last three years, 21 housing providers have benefited from Tom’s communal heating support. Several of Tom’s clients have proceeded with detailed support including site surveys, improvement measures specification and design reviews, resulting in over £17m of improvement measures being committed. Tom has also spent considerable time investing in knowledge transfer to the housing sector on several topics including communal heating, metering & billing and renewable technologies.
Congratulations to all the nominees.
