Graham Sant discusses our collaborative approach

17th April 2018

We are proud to champion our status as an ISO44001 Collaborative Certified company, but what does that really mean? What is true collaboration born from? This isn’t simply a process or a procedure, it is a culture, a behaviour, a conscious consideration to build trust or a working relationship with someone in a certain way. We have many collaborative partnerships, whether that be with our clients on the delivery of projects or in the formation of joint ventures such as Redstart in South Wales, and Ineco with HS2 bringing excellence in service and in joining together with other innovators to deliver far reaching programmes.

Business talks about the benefits of collaboration in terms of enhanced performance, streamlined services, reduced costs, improved efficiency, enhanced competitiveness, better innovation and better control of risk. These may well be the outcomes of successful collaboration, but it is actually about the people approach that makes the difference.

Collaboration doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It starts by people talking to each other and trusting each other in a way that allows them to realise the benefits of working together to make something easier and more successful and then sharing the benefits. But there is always more we can do, to both trust and respect each other as well as finding out what drives us and our different skills.

Please do get in touch if we can collaborate with you on a project or opportunity that you want to deliver. I would be delighted to find out more about how we might help.
