Percy Thomas Architects

Percy Thomas Architects is part of the multi-disciplinary team here at Capita Real estate and architecture. Established in 1911, by Percy Thomas, the practice has a rich cultural heritage spanning over a century; and has been responsible for a significant number of prestigious projects; both in its historic home in Wales and all over the UK.

On joining Capita in 2004, the Percy Thomas team began a new journey and the next chapter in the practice’s portfolio. Our core management and senior design team have been with the practice over 20 years, enjoying diverse project experience. Whilst we actively engage with our Welsh heritage, through local joint ventures such as Redstart, we are also established in much larger national frameworks such as Procure Partnerships and NPS.

A vibrant, energetic and a successful architectural practice, we are passionate about designing sustainable environments which create and deliver value for our clients for the long-term, and create places for people to live, work, visit and enjoy.

We work in partnership with our clients, guiding them through the often complex and multi-faceted design process. We understand the importance of a shared project vision, adding value through our expertise. Using our professional knowledge, the latest BIM software and design assist tools, our team find practical solutions at the earliest stages of a project. This ensures that all aspects of the brief are considered and that we deliver our client’s objectives, maintaining project timescales and budgets without compromising on design quality.

As part of the Capita Real estate and infrastructure business we are comfortable leading in-house design teams as well as working with independent external consultants. We have a detailed understanding of the wider design team roles and responsibilities and how these must be interwoven in order to achieve the best possible design outcomes.

Our services include; master planning and urban design, architecture, space-planning, interior design, sustainability and socially responsible design.

We work right across the UK, specialising in cultural, defence, education, healthcare, industrial and science and technology projects
