A Chartered Environmentalist and marine biologist with nearly 30 years in consultancy, Peter leads Capita’s EIA, landscape and ecology team.
During his career, Peter has worked across multiple sectors and in the UK and overseas. He spent a number of years in Hong Kong where he was involved in environmental assessment and monitoring of major infrastructure projects. Over the last 20 years he has led multi-disciplinary teams delivering EIAs for road, rail, aviation, waste, water and property development projects, working with clients including Transport for London, Anglian Water, HS2, Crossrail 2, local authorities and private developers, as well as several charitable trusts. As an ‘environmental realist’ he has adopted a pragmatic approach to environmental problem solving and resolving the competing needs of development and environmental sustainability.
Peter is currently Chair of IEMA’s Impact Assessment Network steering group, where he is involved in advocacy and developing best practice.
