Rachel has over 17 years experience working in the Environment and Development Industries. She is an Associate Environmental Planner managing EIAs and major planning applications for highways, regeneration schemes, defence, residential and coastal defence projects.
She is a Chartered Environmentalist, Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and a Licentiate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Rachel is also PRINCE2 qualified and a Project Manager, recently managing a series of slope stability highway schemes resulting from Storm Desmond in 2015. She managed the design process, environmental surveys, environmental permits and successfully received planning approval in 2018. She has significant experience in delivering Environmental Statements working under the EIA Regulations transposed by the Highways Act, Marine and Coastal Areas Act, and Town and Country Planning Act (including NSIPs).
She has worked on a number of projects which include Sunderland Strategic Transport Corridor Phase 3, Swan Hunter Dredging marine project, Defence Estate Optimisation, Central Promenade Coastal Defence scheme, Kenmuir Residential scheme and Waterfront Barrow Regeneration scheme.
