Supporting and delivering estate transformation

Client Barts Health NHS Trust
Project Value £

Bringing together the legacy estates of three Trusts (Barts and The London, Newham University Hospital and Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trusts), in 2012 the newly formed Barts Health NHS Trust faced the unique challenge of operating as the largest NHS Trust in the UK.

The Trust aims to provide locally accessible, excellent quality and sustainable services that are focused on clinical excellence and provide a high quality health service that ensures patient experience is at the core of all Trust activities. Alongside this vision is an estate of variable quality, ranging from brand new PFIs (St Barts and the Royal London Hospitals), to older sites with legacy plans for site redevelopment, such as Whipps Cross University Hospital.
