Capita has a revolutionary strategic partnership deal with leading housing service provider Genesis Housing Association to provide professional and strategic consultancy support.
We advise on Genesis’ development strategy, helping secure the delivery of new homes across London, the South East and East of England. One of the most important aspects of our role is working with Genesis to leverage value from its large portfolio to fund the delivery of new homes for the benefit of the wider community.
The partnership, which is for an initial period of five years, replaced an extended supply chain of over 80 suppliers and sees us providing a ‘one-stop shop’ in the provision of strategic input and technical delivery consultancy in support of Genesis’ ambitious housing programme.
Genesis has an active development portfolio with current keynote projects at Grahame Park in the London Borough of Barnet and Woodberry Down in the London Borough of Hackney. The Stratford Halo development in the London Borough of Newham is an award-winning flagship development that has brought hundreds of quality homes across a mix of tenures onto the market in one of the fastest-growing parts of the capital.
Some of the key Genesis schemes Capita has been involved with currently include:
Genesis and Capita delivered this 219-unit development in the heart of Chelmsford.
The scheme is made up of a combination of 65 extra care, 74 private and 80 affordable properties.
Developed on the former site of Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford. Capita was responsible for closing out this phase of the project.
Having been approved at the end of 2014, Phase II of the regeneration works in Chelmsford will see the delivery of a further 386 mixed tenure units built in the centre of Chelmsford, and a total of over 600.
Phase II works will also include over 57,000 square feet of commercial floor space.
Works commenced in August 2015, with Capita working with Genesis to deliver the project by 2018.
Like Phase I of the Central Chelmsford Regeneration project, Capita was responsible for closing out Stoke Quay, a 380 mixed tenure development. The project finished in the Spring of 2015.
Capita is currently supporting Genesis working on developments across 19 sites which will deliver a further 1,300 new homes towards the current Genesis target of 10,000 additional homes in 10 years.
