This £15m, 270-bedroom building on Coquet Street in the Ouseburn area, the city’s emerging cultural and creative quarter.
The development comprises five separate blocks around a private courtyard and three of these blocks are constructed from shipping container pods, which are built in China, and arrive on site completely fitted out as bedrooms and bathrooms.
Phase one, comprising 151 rooms was completed in August 2015 and phase two completed at the end of 2016. Capita provided civil, structural and geo-environmental services.
