A41 Autoroute Villy-le-Pelloux to St-Julien-en-Genevois, France

Client Eiffage / AREA (‘Adelac’)

Capita has acted as Lenders’ Technical Adviser, supporting Adelac SA, from the start of the tender stage, through construction and now during the operations phase. The project comprises 50km of new motorway including two toll plazas, seven grade-separated interchanges, 20km of feeder roads and five primary at-grade junctions. Construction of the motorway was challenging given the mountainous terrain and included a 3km long twin-bore tunnel, a cut and cover tunnel, four major viaducts and major embankments and cuttings.

The motorway opened to traffic in 2008 and the concession is for 55 years. In 2016 Capita again provided due diligence to potential lenders during the refinancing of the debt.
