Rail Advisory and Digital

Our advisory and digital team work through the end-to-end rail passenger experience. We optimise rail operations and safety procedures. Through our hostile vehicle mitigation systems, our teams protect station buildings from threats, ensuring physical structures can withstand attack from blasts or hostile vehicles.

We are working with the Department for Transport (DfT) and train operating companies enabling the DfT to collect mass UK rail passenger data and interrogate it right down to an individual rail passenger journey. This essential transport planning software tool helps plan services more effectively to provide the best possible customer experience.

As principal design delivery partner for several clients, our services span project management and design management disciplines. We design and integrate supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solutions and station information and security systems (SISS) as well as related telecoms including CCTV, PAVA, CIS, emergency voice communications systems, and access control systems. Our consultancy services include reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) assessment and modelling, and engineering safety management (ESM).

Our software solutions are used by regional and national transport agencies, such as Transport for London (TfL), where we provide, design, build and delivery of transport software solutions. These are used to optimise rail customer experience, manage transport assets, and facilitate collaborative operation between TfL, HS2, Crossrail, and Skanska.

We help deliver multimodal transport via a range of technical design services where rail networks converge with the wider transport ecosystem such as the Heathrow Airport rail station, rapid bus transit, multi-modal ticketing, and level crossing red light safety equipment, thereby helping to provide a safer and simpler customer network transition while supporting increased ridership across the rail network.
