What’s required of me?

  • A knowledge based qualification e.g. level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment or Level 2 Diploma in Construction Building
  • A work based learning qualification e.g. NVQ in Surveying, Property and Maintenance or NVQ Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Good communication skills, flexibility, application of numbers, information technology, teamwork, improving own learning styles and problem solving
  • A positive and confident and are self-motivated approach


What qualifications do I need to apply?

The level of qualifications required will depend on which apprenticeship vacancy you are applying for. If you are applying for one of the technical apprenticeships, you will need a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) Grade A-C including Maths, at B or above.


How will I be supported?

Each apprentice is allocated a mentor from the business who will be a more experienced colleague that will ensure you have a friendly face and helping hand to support you through your apprenticeship.

You will have regular reviews with your mentor and your line manager to allow you to discuss and receive feedback on you career progression. In addition to your apprenticeship training you will also have access to any internal training, Continued Professional Development (CPD) or networking activities organised by colleagues within the business.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be provided with the opportunity to attend business skills training needed for the working environment. This may include:

  • IT training (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Time management
  • Presentation skills
  • Health and Safety
  • Basic first aid / fire safety
  • Communication at work
  • Company essential training i.e. induction, fraud awareness, data protection, diversity awareness and social media.
